Our client is an internationally recognised asset manager focused on the acquisition, leasing and conversion of new and used commercial cargo and passenger aircraft worldwide.

Due to continued growth and significant recent investment, our client is seeking to expand its in-house legal function at Seattle HQ by hiring an additional lawyer with 1-4 years' post-qualification experience. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will focus on a transactional and operational mix of work.

A typical asset purchase and lease back transaction will involve drafting, advising on and negotiating key transaction documents, and project managing the process across internal departments and externally between counterparties and their advisors. Day to day operational matters involve a broad range of work including review of lessee requests, drafting lease amendments, advising on existing transaction documents, on deliveries and redeliveries, loan amendments, term sheet preparation for the sale, purchase, lease and/or finance of aircraft, approval of confidentiality agreements, review of insurances and letter of credit arrangements, etc. You will be required to interact regularly with offices in Singapore and London and with lenders, lessees, manufacturers and external counsel together with non-executive directors.

To succeed in this exciting new role, you will have a broad range of transactional asset/aviation finance experience, gained with a respected and recognised firm in the sector (ideally, a mix of law firm and in-house experience). The successful candidate is adept at project management and able to handle a demanding and often critical transactional workload.

The SR Group (US), Inc. is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
