One of the world's leading FS institutions is seeking an individual to join their Digital Controls Office and be an integral part to the whole business. In this role, you will also work closely with the the Chief Data Officer as handling consumer data will be integral to all the various projects and products you will be a part of. With new investment and partnerships occurring so frequently with FinTechs and other tech/software companies, this certainly is a great time to consider joining this company.
They are open to seeing those with a legal background and have some experience with data protection would be a plus. Those suitable could be Tech lawyers, Commercial lawyers, Data Protection lawyers or IT lawyers - especially if they have FS or banking experience, as you will help assist other team with relevant guidance on the risks that may occur when releasing a new digital product or service. You will work with risk stewards to assist with any other SME support as they will be there for any queries you may need additional support with (as a lawyer you should be able to keep your practicing certificate). Alternatively if you are not a lawyer, having a Risk and Control background in banking with an understanding of data privacy would be suitable as well.
This will almost be like working in a start up within the organisation itself as there are now thousands of digital professionals there. There will be innovative ideas, a fast pace and opportunities for progression and other career paths as well.
