This top tier firm is looking for someone with at least 2 years worth of employment experience from another reputable firm.

About the team

Their employment team specialises in strategically complex and business-critical disputes and investigations for Australian and multinational companies, government bodies and other organisations, as well as senior executives. The team's expertise includes post-employment restraints, employee performance management and termination, investigations, critical WHS incidents and regulatory investigations.

Experienced in employment litigation, they have acted in all courts and tribunals in which employment-related disputes are litigated including Fair Work Australia, the NSW Supreme Court, Federal Circuit Court and the Federal Court of Australia.


About the role

This is a growth role that will see you advising the firms blue-chip clients on matters such as:

  • Contracts and policies - customised agreements, contracts, term sheets, confidentiality agreements, policies
  • Workplace agreements - advising in relation to modern awards and enterprise agreements
  • Workplace change - corporate restructuring, redundancies and secondments
  • Mergers and acquisitions - employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions
  • Employee performance - management and termination
  • Corporations Act and Listing Rules - remuneration and termination cap issues
  • Workplace investigations
  • Litigation - in the Fair Work Commission, discrimination tribunals and ordinary courts
  • Workplace health and safety

About you
As the successful candidate you should be able to demonstrate a desire, and the capacity, to work on high profile and technically challenging transactions. You should be an ambitious high performer, looking to work in an environment where your performance will be duly recognised and rewarded accordingly. In addition, you will have:

  • At least 2 years post qualified experience in employment / workplace law
  • Strong drafting and advice writing skills
  • Superior analytical and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
