A fantastic opportunity for an experienced real estate lawyer to join the UK legal team of a globally integrated real estate and investment group, responsible for projects of cultural and social significance such as: construction of the Sydney Opera House, creating the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York, and restoring and renovating historic buildings such as London's Tate Britain and National Theatre. As they continue to deliver urbanisation projects and investments that generate social, environmental and economic value, this role will provide invaluable legal support for the development projects and transactions for Property Europe.
Reporting to the Head of Legal (Europe), you will lead on a range of transactions with responsibility for negotiating complex acquisitions as well as ensuring all legal advice contributes to the commercial soundness of Property Europe's decisions in relation to project structure, joint ventures, development agreements and financing.
Ideally, you will be 6+ PQE with strong post-qualification experience in a top tier law firm and/or as an in-house counsel (in a medium to large real estate business). Experience in major urban regeneration projects, large-scale residential and commercial development and/or experience in acquisition and disposals of land or portfolios would be desirable. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and negotiation skills as well as the desire to demonstrate business acumen and an ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
