A well recognised retail brand with strong ecommerce and partnership channels has seen continued success despite the challenges for the wider industry in the last year. They are looking to expand the small legal team with a Senior Legal Counsel hire who will act as the number two for the Head of Legal in this fast paced global business.
Reporting to the Head of Legal and working closely with the executive team you will provide general corporate and commercial advice to the business. You will lead on negotiating complex contracts in relation to supply chain/distribution, marketing/advertising and IT/technology as well as advice on broader brand protection, litigation and regulatory/GDPR matters utilising external counsel where needed. Working closely with a range of internal business functions this role will provide a fantastic opportunity to impress key stakeholders.
Ideally you will be 5-8 years PQE with strong post-qualification experience either in-house or at a top city law firm (with secondment experience), having gained a broad commercial knowledge base. You must enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic business and display an ability to take on a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. Retail/FMCG sector experience is highly advantageous.
