The Opportunity

This is a role for a financial services regulatory / superannuation lawyer to join a national superannuation fund's in-house legal team. The role will have two direct reports and will itself report to the General Counsel who sits in Melbourne.

About you

You are a skilled financial services regulatory / superannuation Australian lawyer who has at least 6 years PQE. You ideally have in-house experience in a fund. You are adaptive to change, enjoy working collaboratively, and ideally have experience leading others.

You understand the regulatory frameworks in the financial services / superannuation industry, including the obligations under the SIS Act, Corporations Act and the APRA Prudential Standards.

Role responsibilities

Supporting the business in meeting its regulatory requirements will be the focus of this role. You will also get involved in contract negotiations and execution and member insurance disputes. You will enjoy translating the technical aspects of the law to your commercial stakeholders.
